TKP lists what could be done with Rönesans Holding's annual profit in front of its building: 'Our promise is to seize what they have stolen'

Following a recent statement in which Yıldız Holding was placed under scrutiny, the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) Istanbul Provincial Organization held a protest in front of Yıldız Holding, and a video explaining what could be done for the public with Rönesans Holding's 22.6 billion lira net profit for 2023 was published on TKP social media accounts. 

This time, TKP members from the Communist Party of Turkey Ankara Provincial Organization met at Kuğulu Park and marched toward the building where Rönesans Holding is located. 

Speaking at the protest, TKP Ankara Provincial Chair Ali Ufuk Arikan began his remarks by saying, "We were in front of Yıldız Holding the other day, now we are here... Tomorrow we will be at the gates of other exploiters..." Listing what could be done for the public with just the 2023 net profit of Rönesans Holding, Arikan continued his speech as follows:

"Today, we are in front of the door of one of the parasites and enemies of the people who have seized our country's and our people's resources that belong to us, who build palaces for themselves with our blood and sweat, and who add wealth to their wealth with massive profits.

We are talking about just one year of profit from Rönesans Holding: 22.3 billion TL!

This amount is just the annual sum seized by one family, and furthermore, they are growing these profits even more every day with our exploited labor.

When we seize just this profit, friends, look at what we can do:

We can provide a monthly scholarship of 5 thousand liras to 376 thousand students.

We can build nurseries with a capacity of 210 thousand in 2100 neighborhoods.

We can build 500 sports facilities.

We can cover the annual phone bills of 6 million people...

These are just a few examples!

This wealth, this immense fortune accumulated with the blood and sweat of workers, of us, is ours.

Our promise is to seize what they have stolen from us...

While millions of retirees in this country are left to die on a pension below the 19 thousand lira hunger threshold, while the minimum wage has remained below the hunger threshold, and while millions of retirees have been pushed into great poverty, some talk about 'normalization,' some talk about 'reconciliation,' and some try to whitewash the bosses who are the real source of this exploitation!

In this irrational, shameless, and immoral order, we are dying, being exploited, and being targeted every day.

We declare, friends, we say it is our duty.

We will throw this parasitic, exploitative boss class off our backs; we will seize what is ours, what they have stolen from us.

To live, for a bright country, and for a future where we will live in prosperity, we will destroy the order of these exploitative bosses and establish the workers' own order, socialism!

Let it be our promise: let the bosses living in luxury in these holding buildings and mansions know that we will hold them accountable for everything they have stolen from us, we will immediately nationalize them, and yes, we will sacrifice Rönesans Holding for our people!" 

Following the protest, the TKP members hung a banner reading "May the assets and profits of Rönesans Holding be sacrificed for our people" on the wall of the holding and ended the protest there.
