TKP: 'Our children are paying the price for this decaying order'

The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) has made statements regarding the moral collapse and the deepening drug problem across the country. With only days left until 2026, the TKP underscored that the internal decay of society and violence are increasing in every field.

THE FUTURE OF CHILDREN IS BEING STOLEN

The TKP stated that one of the biggest problems in the country is the future of its children. Noting that gangs and drug mafias are using 12-year-old children to drag them into the world of crime, the party emphasized that children all over the country have become victims of gangs, drug dealers, and a corrupt order.

The statement said, "The Daltons, the Redkits, and the Caspers are no longer cartoon characters; they have become the names of gangs." It was stated that gangs have taken control of streets and neighborhoods, while the police and the government are content to merely watch this situation. Furthermore, it was noted that there are 670 convicted children and 1,406 imprisoned children in Turkey's prisons. It was emphasized that this situation is not just a numerical statistic, but an indicator of a major moral collapse and decay.

VIOLENCE AND DECAY ARE INCREASING IN EVERY FIELD

The party's statement pointed out that violence is increasing in every segment of society. It was noted that while violence against women is becoming increasingly normalized on the streets, in schools, and in traffic, the state's security forces remain insufficient to stop this violence. It was also mentioned that femicides are on the rise and that the measures taken against violence are inadequate.

The written statement included the following remarks:

There are only a few days left until 2026, the new year.

As every year, this year too, the atmosphere will be covered with "morality"-themed outbursts and even attacks; fake and hypocritical.

Some will preach that celebrating the new year and having fun is immoral; others will target new year wishes and new year hopes...

What could their concern be?

Let us start with our own words: It is true that there is a huge moral problem in our country!

Moreover, we are facing a terrible decay that stems from this moral problem.

Let us look together at the details and causes of the grim picture we presented at the beginning.

THEY ARE STEALING THE FUTURE OF CHILDREN

The Daltons, the Redkits, and the Caspers are no longer cartoon characters; they have become the names of gangs that parcel out all the streets with guns and drugs in their hands.

The government and security officials know very well which district, which neighborhood, and which street they control; they know, and no one touches them, no one can touch them. Because these gangs, who kill people for money, commit heists, and market drugs, do not derive their power from the guns in their hands or the bags in their pockets, but directly from this order itself.

While drug dealers are spreading terror around, the Police are conducting drills on how to attack striking workers!

They use children as young as 12, at the age of play, as they please. The government, the opposition, the police, and the gendarmerie are all watching together. Accompanied by this spectatorship, little children join gangs, are made drug addicts, and are used as hitmen.

According to the Ministry of Justice data, there are 670 convicted children and 1,406 imprisoned children in prisons in Turkey. Doesn't even this tell us a lot?

In this order, the number of crimes recorded involving children in just one year is 612,651. While 202,000 of these were recorded as "being dragged into crime," 40.4 percent of these children were processed for assault, 16.6 percent for theft, and 8.2 percent for using, selling, or buying drugs or stimulants.

The number of child abuse files in just one year is 63,306!

Are these not the most vivid, flesh-and-blood indicators of the decay of this order?

This order does not only steal children's new year hopes with gangs, drugs, and prisons; it also kills them. In 2025 alone, at least 85 child workers were murdered so that bosses could earn more. On top of that, child labor was moved to a legal ground under the name of Vocational Training Centers (MESEM) to provide free child labor to bosses. Now, hundreds of thousands of children in our country are employed under the name of vocational training and die in work-related murders due to the bosses' greed for profit.

In our country, where we list so many dark headings one after another when talking about children, what else can we talk about other than the decay and immorality of this order?

VIOLENCE IS EVERYWHERE

So, what is the share that laborers, women, and our people get from this order that steals children's dreams and future?

The order emits such a corrosive effect that we are all imprisoned together in a spiral of violence that knows no bounds.

Open and watch the most closely followed television series, take a short tour on social media, or if you can tolerate it, watch a main news bulletin from beginning to end.

Those who say they are fighting against violence against women pour series onto us for hundreds of episodes in which physical and psychological violence is inflicted on women. We are exposed to hundreds of different versions of violence that are becoming increasingly ordinary in traffic, at school, and on the street via social media in a way that desensitizes us.

It is also necessary to emphasize femicides, which go beyond violence and mean the disregard for women's right to life. Women continue to die every day because of the reactionary mentality of the Ministry of Family, which almost advises women to submit and accept their fate, and because of the measures the Ministry of Interior persistently fails to take, the doors it opens, the eyes it closes, and the ears it plugs.

When it comes to these agendas becoming a matter of justice, those who inflict violence on women, children, and workers quickly slip out of the hands of justice and regain their freedom at jet speed.

They are jointly signing a major operation of intimidation, desensitization, and decay through violence.

THOSE WHO DECAY BY THE SHORT CUT

We are facing such a great siege that the order uses every opportunity it finds to decay society further.

On one hand, they preach that "gambling is the greatest immorality," while on the other hand, they open massive gambling sites by saying "legal betting" and "legal lotto," and more deeply, they thinly pave the way for "illegal betting" and gambling.

They fill the pockets of gangs, bosses, and politicians through both paths.

The order of those who say "we will clean football from betting" is represented by federation presidents who are betting site owners.

This is an order that holds football, sports, and human life captive and leaves them covered in filth.

Look at the state of the police, who are tasked with protecting society from betting and gambling... The number one reason for the increasing cases of police suicides is the quagmires caused by "crypto money" and "betting."

We are not surprised; we are facing the natural consequences of decay...

POLITICIANS WHO ARE JUST RIGHT FOR THIS ORDER

So, where will we place the order that creates all this, and the politics and politicians of this order?

We do not need to look far or perform deep analyses. To take the picture in the simplest way, it is enough to look at the Parliament.

The moral problem and decay are fed from here.

After the last election, over 100 deputies are currently serving as deputies for a party other than the one they received votes from the public for. Dozens of names who were elected as mayors with the votes of the people in the last election are again carrying out their mayoral duties from another party.

What about the promises made to the people? What about the program, principles, political morality, and ethics?

This is the order of those who make all their values a matter of bargaining for a seat!

Heist, corruption, and theft are all permissible for them.

If there is no morality, and if decay is everywhere, it means there is no one happier than them.

DECAY DERIVES ITS POWER FROM OUR SILENCE

We are all targets!

Even the breath we take is becoming increasingly suffocating.

Everything we experience today, the moral collapse and the deepening decay, derives its source directly from the government and the order of holdings and religious sects it represents.

This order, which puts money at the center of everything and above all values, is dragging us all into a bottomless swamp.

The phrases "my civil servant knows his business," "they steal but they build," and "I will sell it like a father" are so familiar to us, aren't they?

They really are selling everything, along with the values they represent.

TÜPRAŞ, Petkim, TEKEL, Sümerbank, Seka, SEK, and dozens more... These were our values that had a place in the collective memory of our people. They belonged to this country, to all of us.

What we are experiencing is the final stop of the attacks they started as privatization and continued with "we will sell it like a father."

Now we need to dry up the source of this decay; so, what exactly is it that grows this source day by day?

That is the question...

Let us say it clearly: both today's government and the 'opposition' that aspires to the seat by resembling it derive their power from the silence and lack of organization of our people.

While children are being murdered and our people are being dragged into a deeper pit every day due to drugs, gambling, and gang formation, it is riveted and gradually strengthened by the dark silence we are in.

We need to put an end to the silence and lack of organization of those who bring their bread home with the sweat of their brow and continue their struggle for life with their heads held high, and we need to stop the immorality of this order all together.

ANOTHER EXIT, ANOTHER COUNTRY, HOPEFUL TOMORROWS ARE POSSIBLE

Yes, we are entering a new year, 2026.

To look at the new year with hope, we will start by confronting all this decay and immorality.

We will stand against the immorality of the order of holdings and religious sects with our own values, the values that belong to this people.

We will remember solidarity, mutual assistance, reaching out to each other, and instilling hope.

We will stand up against evil and decay for what is good and beautiful, and we will pull our country out of this darkness.

For the hopeful, beautiful tomorrows of our beautiful country and our people, we will stand against the greatest immorality, this order.

For this, we will organize, we will come side by side.

Another exit, another country, beautiful tomorrows are possible!

If we are not going to take action for this, if we are not going to stand up; if we are not going to rebel against this darkness and decay, what is left to hold onto other than surrender?

Yet we know; we know from our history that this people does not bow to this darkness and decay, and will not bow.

That is why our call is to you, to those who do not surrender to this darkness, to those who rebel.

To enter the new year with hope, let us struggle together!
