Lawyer Feyza Altun, who was detained in recent months due to a post she made on her social media account regarding Sharia and was released after giving her statement, has been indicted on charges of "publicly inciting hatred and enmity," with a request for up to three years in prison.
Altun, against whom the lawsuit was filed, will appear before the judge at the Beykoz 5th Criminal Court of First Instance today at 15:40.
STRIKING POST: I HAVE TWO DIFFERENT OUTFITS, KEEP YOUR EYES ON ME
Making a statement on her social media account, Altun used the following expressions:
"This morning I have a case for insulting the President, and in the afternoon, I have my Sharia case. I will try to explain to the Prosecutors and Judges of the Republic of Turkey first that criticism is not an insult, and then that there is no Sharia in the country. I have two different outfits, keep your eyes on me."
