CHP Trabzon Deputy Sibel Suiçmez has brought the 300-unit TOKİ project planned for the Yomra district of Trabzon to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

CHP's Sibel Suiçmez stated that TOKİ held a lottery for 300 housing units in Trabzon's Yomra district and that the beneficiaries were determined, but the location where the project will be built has not even been decided yet.

Bringing the issue to the Parliament's agenda, Suiçmez said, "TOKİ held a lottery for 300 housing units, but there are neither houses nor a region where the houses will be built."

Stating that the lottery for the project was held in January and the beneficiaries were determined, Sibel Suiçmez alleged that there are no houses and that even the location where the project will be built is not clear.

LOCATION IS NOT CLEAR

Suiçmez reported that the Mayor of Yomra asked the authorities where the housing units in question would be built and received the answer, "It is not clear."

"THEY GAVE PEOPLE HOPE"

Stating that the lottery process has been completed, Suiçmez said, "They are giving people hope and holding a lottery for a project whose location is not even clear. They tell those who ask neither a location nor a completion date. This scandal must be accounted for immediately."

"THIS SCANDAL MUST BE ACCOUNTED FOR IMMEDIATELY"

Sibel Suiçmez said the following in her speech in Parliament:

"It is not a joke, it is real. In January, TOKİ held a lottery for 300 housing units in the Yomra district of Trabzon. The beneficiaries were determined, and people were happy because they were going to be homeowners. Everything is complete. Well, guess what is missing? The houses! Yes, you heard it right; TOKİ held a lottery for 300 housing units, but there are neither houses nor a region where the houses will be built. Even though our Mayor of Yomra, Mr. Mustafa Bıyık, asked, 'Where is the location of the houses?', they gave the answer, 'It is not clear.' They are giving people hope and holding a lottery for a project whose location is not even clear. They tell those who ask neither a location nor a completion date. This scandal must be accounted for immediately."
