Traffic density in Istanbul reaches 90 percent

Istanbul's rainy weather, which was effective throughout the day, caused traffic congestion on the D-100 highway. It was observed that traffic density reached 90 percent.
On the last workday of the week, traffic came to a standstill along with the rainfall. Citizens heading to work and students created congestion in traffic with shuttles, public transport, and private vehicles. According to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's traffic application, density reached 90 percent at 17:45.
On the Anatolian Side, traffic congestion is being experienced on the D-100 Highway in both directions between Göztepe and Kartal, and on the TEM Highway in the Edirne direction between Sancaktepe and Ataşehir.
Additionally, traffic congestion continues on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in the European direction and on their connecting roads.
