Traffic in the Bosphorus temporarily suspended in both directions
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that ship traffic in the Bosphorus was temporarily suspended in both directions as of 18:10 due to a mechanical failure on a ship sailing from Russia to İskenderun.

In a statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was stated that "The 154-meter-long, Sao Tome and Principe-flagged ship named Hacı Hüseyin, which was sailing from Russia to İskenderun and carrying 22 thousand tons of iron ore, dropped anchor while drifting toward the shore due to a mechanical failure off Kanlıca in the Bosphorus.
The KURTARMA-8 and NAZIM TUR tugboats and the KEGM-5 boat, affiliated with the General Directorate of Coastal Safety, were dispatched to the region and have reached the ship.
