Tragic accident in TRNC: 1 soldier martyred, 11 soldiers injured
In the Güzelyurt district of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), 1 soldier was martyred and 11 soldiers were injured after a military vehicle collided with a car and overturned.

According to information received from the TRNC Police Press Office, the accident occurred at 09:00 on the Güzelyurt-Akçay main road.
The military vehicle, which was traveling from Akçay in the direction of Güzelyurt, collided with a car traveling in the same direction before veering off the road and overturning.
In a statement made by the TRNC Police Press Office, it was shared that one of the soldiers injured in the traffic accident could not be saved despite the interventions performed at the hospital to which he was taken and was martyred.
The 11 injured soldiers were taken to hospitals in the region by ambulances.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
