A traffic accident that occurred late at night in Beşiktaş resulted in the death of a young university student. Numerous people were injured as a result of a collision between two cars on Çırağan Street.
THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN THE EARLY HOURS
According to the information obtained, the accident took place around 04:30 within the borders of Yıldız Neighborhood.
It is alleged that a car traveling at high speed crossed into the opposite lane while attempting to overtake. At that moment, it collided head-on with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
Due to the force of the violent collision, both vehicles sustained heavy damage, and the individuals inside the vehicles were injured.
NUMEROUS TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE
Following the accident, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon reports from citizens in the vicinity.
The injured, who received initial medical intervention at the scene, were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance. It was learned that some of the injured were in critical condition.
BETÜL KORUĞ COULD NOT BE SAVED
It was learned that 22-year-old Betül Koruğ, who was critically injured in the accident, was a senior psychology student.
The young woman, who was taken under treatment at the hospital, lost her life despite all interventions by doctors.

On the other hand, security camera footage regarding the accident has also emerged.
In the footage, it can be seen that a car was traveling at high speed, lost control while overtaking, and collided head-on with the vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
