According to initial reports, 2 people lost their lives and 40 were injured in an accident that occurred when a passenger bus overturned into a ditch on the Niğde-Ankara Highway.

The accident occurred around 03:00 at night near the Babakonağı location, at the exit of the Niğde - Ankara Highway Nevşehir toll booths. The passenger bus belonging to Metro Turizm, with license plate 79 AF 880, driven by Hannan Samanoğlu and traveling from Kilis to Istanbul, overturned into a ditch for reasons yet to be determined.
Upon notification by other drivers who witnessed the accident, numerous health, fire department, AFAD, UMKE, gendarmerie, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken under treatment at hospitals in Nevşehir and Aksaray. The 2 people who lost their lives in the accident were extracted from under the bus by the teams.
PUPPIES ALSO RESCUED
Three puppies found in the luggage compartment of the bus involved in the accident were also rescued and handed over to the teams.
Traffic on the Niğde - Ankara Highway is being managed in a controlled manner due to the accident.
