Training aircraft departing from Aydın makes emergency landing in Denizli

A training aircraft that took off from Aydın made an emergency landing in an empty field near the Çal district of Denizli due to a technical malfunction. There were no casualties in the incident, and fire and gendarmerie teams dispatched to the area have launched an investigation.

According to the information received, the training aircraft that took off from Isparta made a hard landing in the Ali Çeşmesi area of the İsabeyli neighborhood in the Çal district.

Upon notification, health, fire, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the region.

PILOT'S HEALTH CONDITION IS GOOD

The statement made by the Denizli Governor's Office regarding the incident included the following information:

"This morning, a civilian training aircraft took off from Uşak and was heading to Çardak Airport when it made an emergency landing in a field in the Ali Çeşmesi area of the İsabey neighborhood in the Çal district. During the emergency landing, the aircraft flipped over. The pilot was taken to the hospital by our medical teams for observation. The pilot's health condition is good."

 

ENGINE FAILURE SUSPECTED

It was learned that the pilot of the aircraft that made the emergency landing in the field was 19-year-old Şükrü Yiğit Devebacak, and it is believed that the emergency landing was due to an engine failure. The company to which the aircraft belongs has sent a technical team to the region.

The aircraft will be removed from the field after the team's work is completed.

 

STATEMENT FROM THE AVIATION ACADEMY REGARDING THE ACCIDENT

ERAH Aviation Academy, to which the aircraft is affiliated, made the following statement regarding the accident:

"At approximately 12:15, our TC-MFD registered training aircraft made an emergency landing in a field approximately 15 NM (nautical miles) from Denizli Çardak Airport due to an engine incident that occurred during its first solo cross-country training flight within the scope of the private pilot license training curriculum. The training aircraft, which had landed successfully in the field, suffered damage due to the muddy ground. Our student pilot, who was alone in the aircraft, secured the aircraft and exited through the door, and no negative incidents occurred after the damage."

 

It was stated that the student pilot was not injured in the accident, that the necessary examinations were carried out at Denizli Çal State Hospital, and that his health condition is very good.
