Transformer explosion in Büyükçekmece: Two workers injured
Two workers were slightly injured and taken to the hospital following an explosion at a transformer during maintenance work in the Büyükçekmece district of Istanbul.

Two employees of Boğaziçi Elektrik Dağıtım AŞ (BEDAŞ) who were responding to an electrical fault on Barış Street in the Mimaroba neighborhood of Istanbul's Büyükçekmece district were injured after a sudden explosion occurred at a transformer. The incident took place in the morning hours.
The explosion caused minor injuries to the workers' necks and faces. As the sound of the explosion echoed through the neighborhood, local residents immediately called the 112 Emergency Call Center to request assistance.
Medical teams arrived at the scene shortly after and, after providing initial treatment to the injured, transported the two workers to the hospital by ambulance. It was reported that the condition of the injured workers is good.
