TRT to open a representative office in Damascus, the capital of Syria
The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) will open a representative office in Damascus, the capital of Syria. With the Damascus office becoming operational, the number of TRT's foreign representative offices will rise to 19.

Following the instructions of TRT Director General Mehmet Zahid Sobacı, work has begun to open a TRT foreign representative office in Damascus.
In this context, discussions were held with the Syrian Ministry of Information regarding the accreditation of the office and official procedures.
Once the necessary permits are obtained, TRT's Damascus office will begin operations and report developments to the world from the ground.
With the opening of the Damascus office, the number of TRT's foreign representative offices will rise to 19.
