Truck driver arrested in case of 825 kilograms of heroin hidden in coffee boxes
In an operation carried out by the Adana Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch on December 3, 825 kilograms of heroin hidden in coffee boxes were seized in a truck. The detained truck driver has been arrested. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya had mentioned the operation in a statement on his social media account on December 3 and announced that one suspect had been taken into custody.

In Adana, teams from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch carried out the "Narkoçelik-50" operation on December 3. Within the scope of the operation, 825 kilograms of heroin hidden in coffee boxes were seized in a truck. The procedures for the driver, Mehmet Emin Ç. (36), who was taken into custody in connection with the incident, have been completed.
The suspect was referred to the courthouse and arrested by the duty magistrate.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya had noted in a statement on his social media account on December 3 that the "Narkoçelik-50" operation was carried out by the Adana Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch under the coordination of the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security's Anti-Narcotics Department. He stated that as a result of a 10-month investigation within the scope of a project file, 825 kilograms of heroin were seized in a truck, hidden inside 1,512 coffee boxes, and that one suspect had been taken into custody.
