US President Donald Trump, who arrived in Ankara to attend the NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, was welcomed with an official ceremony at Ankara Airport by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

ERDOĞAN WELCOMES HIM

During the welcome, Erdoğan and Trump shook hands and chatted briefly. Following the official ceremony, the two leaders left the airport as part of their program.

During the ceremony, Trump turned to the soldiers and greeted the Turkish troops by saying "Merhaba asker" (Hello soldier) in Turkish, to which Erdoğan responded with applause. Those moments were recorded by cameras covering the ceremony.
