TÜGVA received the most food and ration support from IMM
Details of food and ration aid provided by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) to various foundations and associations from public resources between 2015 and 2018 have come to light. It was determined that the most support was given to TÜGVA.

New documents have emerged regarding the aid provided by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) to non-governmental organizations using public resources during the 2015-2018 period. It was determined that during this period, the municipality provided a total of 36 thousand food and ration packages to 32 different foundations and associations.
It was noted that the most support was provided to the Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA). The documents state that a total of 5 thousand 226 food and ration aids were provided to TÜGVA between these years. Furthermore, it was stated that TÜGVA submitted 20 different requests for food organizations to the IMM Department of Support Services, mostly for events held at the social facilities in Çırpıcı.
Other organizations that received support include the Human and Civilization Movement (İMH), which includes AKP figures, and the Yunus Emre Institute, affiliated with the Yunus Emre Foundation. It was reported that 1000 food and ration aids were provided to the Human and Civilization Movement, and 379 to the Yunus Emre Institute. Additionally, it was conveyed that the Yunus Emre Institute also made written applications to the IMM for city tours and boat trips.
These aids have brought the debates regarding which organizations receive public resources and how they are transferred back to the agenda.
