Details have emerged from the prosecutor's testimony of Kervan Eminoğlu, who was detained as a suspect and later released under judicial control as part of the murder investigation conducted by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the death of singer Güllü (Gül Tut), who passed away on September 26, 2025.
In his testimony, Kervan Eminoğlu provided information about his background, stating that he came to Turkey in 2021, was defrauded while working in the jewelry business in Istanbul, and moved to Yalova in 2023. Eminoğlu said that he and Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter met via WhatsApp in April 2024.
“MONEY WAS AT THE ROOT OF THE FIGHTS”
According to statements reflected in the investigation file, Eminoğlu alleged that arguments occurred every time Tuğyan Gülter went to her mother's place, that these fights became constant, and that money was the main agenda. In his testimony, he claimed that Güllü demanded four quarter-gold coins every month from her daughter for her child.
“SHE WAS SAYING SHE WOULD TAKE HER GOLD”
Eminoğlu stated that Tuğyan Gülter reacted to her mother not letting her into the house, claiming that she was angry because of this and said she would take her mother's gold. Explaining that he went to Istanbul on May 17 and that Tuğyan followed him, Eminoğlu argued that the phrase “let my mother drop dead” was included in their messages.
MESSAGES CONTAINING ASSAULT AND THREATS
In the continuation of his testimony, Eminoğlu alleged that Tuğyan Gülter used expressions such as “having her assaulted” and “having her bones broken” regarding her mother. Stating that their relationship progressed through frequent breakups and reconciliations, Eminoğlu claimed that he was threatened through his family on May 17 and received messages stating that “prohibited substances would be planted” in his vehicle.
“SHE WANTED TO KNOW WHERE I WAS”
Responding to a question regarding the photo of Güllü's house window sent on the day of the incident as part of the investigation, Eminoğlu said that he was out in Istanbul that day and had sent the photo to a friend. Eminoğlu stated that Tuğyan Gülter also sent him a photo of her room's window “to show how to send a photo,” noting that the reason for this was that “she wanted to know where I was.”
Kervan Eminoğlu claimed that Tuğyan Gülter took approximately 100 thousand liras and a diamond ring from his bag. Stating that 5 thousand dollars were demanded from him after the incident, and that he was told this money was requested for “voice analysis,” Eminoğlu alleged that he did not give the money in question and was threatened as a result. He stated that he considered filing a criminal complaint but abandoned this decision after two lawyers met with his wife.
As part of the investigation into the death of singer Güllü, who fell from the window of her home in the Çınarcık district of Yalova, her daughter Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter was arrested. Her former fiancé Kervan Eminoğlu was released under judicial control after being detained. It was learned that blood and hair samples will be taken from Eminoğlu, who was referred to the Council of Forensic Medicine within the framework of the file.
