The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released labor force statistics for the final quarter of last year (October-December 2024). Accordingly, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.6 percent.
According to the results of the Household Labor Force Survey, the number of unemployed persons aged 15 and over decreased by 23 thousand compared to the previous quarter, reaching 3 million 80 thousand people during the period in question. The unemployment rate stood at 8.6%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points. The unemployment rate was estimated at 6.9 percent for men and 11.8 percent for women.
