Turhan Çömez takes allegations against Minister Ersoy to Parliament: Did he allocate land from the ministry to his own company?
İYİ Party Balıkesir Deputy Turhan Çömez has brought allegations to Parliament that Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy allocated land from the ministry to his own company for the construction of a hotel. Sharing the parliamentary question he submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) on his X account, Çömez tagged Ersoy and asked, “You have allocated land from your own ministry to your own company! And it is forest land! To build a hotel. Is this true?”

İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez has submitted a parliamentary question to the TBMM for Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy to answer.
Çömez asked whether Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy had purchased land for his own company in Bodrum.

Çömez also asked whether 95 thousand square meters of land in the same region had been allocated to Ersoy Otelcilik İnşaat ve Turizm İşletmeciliği AŞ, which is also the Minister's company, in 2005, and whether this land is adjacent to the land from 2018.

The parliamentary question submitted by Çömez to the TBMM is as follows:
1- Is the information that land was purchased in the Adalıyalı locality of Bodrum's Çiftlik neighborhood on behalf of Ersoy Otelcilik İnşaat ve Turizm İşletmeciliği AS correct?
2- Is the information that this property purchased by Ersoy Otelcilik İnşaat ve Turizm İşletmeciliği AŞ is 3819 square meters, was acquired on 22/11/2018, and that this occurred 4.5 months after you took office as Minister on 10/07/2018 correct?
3- Was 95 thousand square meters of land in the aforementioned region allocated to Ersoy Otelcilik İnşaat ve Turizm İşletmeciliği AŞ in 2005? Is this land adjacent to the 3819 square meter land in question?
4- Is the information that the allocated land in question is block 308, parcel 4 correct?
5- Is the information that this allocation was made by the General Directorate of Forestry correct?
6- Is the information that another 25 thousand square meter area in the same region was transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to the Ministry of Tourism correct?
7- Did you allocate this 25 thousand square meter area, which was transferred to your own ministry, to the Ersoy Otelcilik firm?
8- Was the declaration of the region in question as a Tourism Zone carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism?
9- Is the information that archaeological excavations were initiated in 2019 in Kissebükü, which is located very close to the Adalıyalı locality, correct?
10- Is the information that there are ruins of Anastasiapolis from the early Byzantine period in the excavations carried out in Kissebükü and that the region has been placed under protection correct?
11- Is the information that 55 million TL has already been spent by your ministry for the archaeological excavations to be carried out regarding these ruins and that an additional 800 million TL budget has been allocated from your ministry's budget correct?
12- Is the allegation that the initiated archaeological excavations are intended to provide legitimacy to the hotel complex to be built on the allocated land in question correct?
13- Is the allegation that the ruins here will provide added value to the hotel in question correct? Furthermore, is the information that the region will be declared an Archaeological Site, thereby preventing the construction of another hotel and creating unfair competition, correct?
14- Is there a possibility of ancient ruins being found in the allocated land area? Has any work been done for this?
15- By which ministry and on what date was the first zoning plan study for the land in question carried out?
16- Is the allegation that this ministry is the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and that, despite all zoning plans being canceled by the courts, an EIA Report was prepared as if there were an approved zoning plan, correct?
17- Will the zoning plans for the land in question, which was allocated due to being declared a Tourism Zone, be redone upon the request of your company and with the approval of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change?
18- Is the information that it is currently not possible to reach the area in question by road, that road construction will begin after the hotel construction, and that 50 thousand trees will be cut down for this correct?
19- Was a protocol signed between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality in 2020 regarding the construction of sewage lines for the Bodrum, Torba, Kızılağaç, and Yalı neighborhoods? Is the information that 42 km of this line has been completed correct? How much money has been paid for this so far?
