Noting that significant progress has been made in bringing the fires in the Akhisar and Kula districts of Manisa under control, Yumaklı said that the fire in Ahmetli had spread to a wider area, but that teams had reduced its impact through intensive interventions throughout the night.

The Minister thanked the pilots and emphasized that interventions from both the ground and the air have continued since the first light of dawn.

Stating that the fires that began in Hatay yesterday afternoon are one of the greatest challenges, Minister Yumaklı said, "Hatay Antakya is currently our most problematic province.
