Turkey extradites, UAE thanks: 3 Uzbek nationals who killed Israeli rabbi
According to information obtained from security sources, the killers of Rabbi Tzvi Kogan, an Israeli-Moldovan citizen whose death in the United Arab Emirates was announced by Israel two days ago, were captured in Turkey during a covert operation conducted by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the Police. The 3 captured Uzbek nationals have been extradited to the UAE.

The following statement regarding the matter was issued by security sources:
Upon the determination that the three Uzbek citizens who killed Rabbi Kogan, who had been operating a kosher market in Dubai since 2020, had fled, the UAE government requested assistance from Turkey.
Following the request for assistance, the MİT intervened and rapidly began efforts to capture the perpetrators who killed the rabbi. The operation, which began with the identification of the flight they were on, was conducted with extreme secrecy to avoid raising any suspicion.
Once the individuals landed in Istanbul, police forces also became involved. To prevent any disturbance, the taxi the killers boarded after leaving the airport was tracked step-by-step by the MİT and the Police.
The taxi they were traveling in was stopped for a traffic check, and as a result of the identity check conducted by the police, the three individuals wanted by the UAE were captured.
The killers of the rabbi, 28-year-old Alimbay Tahiroviç, 28-year-old Mahmudcan Abdurrahim, and 33-year-old Azizbek Kamiloviç, were extradited to the UAE, the country where the crime was committed.
The United Arab Emirates expressed its gratitude to Turkey for its cooperation.
