Selami Salman, who for years walked kilometers every day on the D-100 Highway between Tuzla and Maltepe, has been found dead in his home in Pendik. Salman's body, discovered by teams in his home, has been taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The incident occurred at around 21:00 in a house on Terzi Street in the Kavakpınar neighborhood of Istanbul's Pendik district. According to information obtained, Selami Salman, who for years walked kilometers every day on the D-100 Highway between Tuzla and Maltepe and was frequently encountered by drivers who regularly used the road, had been featured on social media and in the press.
Salman, whom most people using the road saw every day, had been missing in Pendik for about two days.
As a result of search efforts, Salman was found dead in his home. His relatives notified the police. Upon notification, numerous police, crime scene investigation teams, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Medical teams arriving at the scene confirmed that Salman had passed away.
Following the work of the crime scene investigation teams, Selami Salman's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Police teams have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
