In a statement made from the DMM's social media account, it was noted, "The mention of our country in news reports by some media outlets in Israel regarding an assassination plot against an Israeli minister is the product of a deliberate disinformation campaign conducted against Turkey.
It is known that the matter, which was served to the Israeli press as a new development, is actually related to an incident that occurred 8 months ago.
Furthermore, the statements of the captured individuals, indicating that they have no connection to Turkey, are confirmed by Red Cross officials.
The primary purpose of the news in question is to create a misleading and intentional perception against Turkey in the international public opinion and, in doing so, to harm Turkey's Palestine policy.
It is important for the public and relevant authorities not to give credence to these disinformation and black propaganda activities targeting Turkey," the statement read.
