Ekonomist Magazine has shared the results of its "Richest 100" study, which reveals the wealthiest individuals and families in Turkey. The study, now in its 20th year, features familiar names.
Before focusing on Turkey's richest individuals and families, let's take a look at how Ekonomist Magazine conducts this research. The team examines individuals' assets on Borsa Istanbul, then focuses on factors such as real estate holdings, foreign currency-based income, Capital 500, ISO 500, Anadolu 500, and taxes paid. In addition to this data, the research, which is supported by interviews with experts in the real sector and finance, determines Turkey's wealthiest names.
When we look at the table above, we see that there is only one change in the top 10 of Turkey's richest list. Compared to last year's research, while the first 9 spots on the list remained the same, the Erdemoğlu Family placed 10th this year. As a reminder, the Zorlu Family (Zorlu Holding) held the 10th spot in the 2022 research.
