Turkish Airlines returns to Damascus on January 23
Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced that flights from Turkey to Damascus will begin on January 23.

THY General Manager Bilal Ekşi announced that flights to the Syrian city of Damascus will begin on January 23.
Making a statement on his social media account, Ekşi quoted lines from poet Sezai Karakoç, 'I have known Damascus from a thousand years ago. It is as close to me as my mother's milk,' and stated the following:
'We are returning to Damascus. We are starting Damascus flights on Thursday, January 23, with 3 flights per week. Best wishes.'
