A heartbreaking last-minute development has occurred regarding the health of master actor Kadir İnanır, one of the unforgettable names of Turkish cinema and Yeşilçam, who has left deep marks on the collective memory. The 77-year-old master actor, who was suddenly taken ill on May 14 and hospitalized, and who was being treated in intensive care due to a lung infection (pneumonia) following initial examinations, has been sedated and intubated by the decision of his doctors.
"TO INTERVENE MORE EASILY AND PREVENT HIM FROM SUFFERING..."
Following the bad news from the hospital, the first official and shocking statement regarding the master artist's health was made by his life partner Jülide Kural, with whom he has shared his life for years. Wishing to emphasize the seriousness of the process, Kural used the following expressions:
"Unfortunately, Kadir was intubated a little while ago. Beneath the pneumonia in his lung, a tumor was detected that was not initially noticed. Our physicians decided to intubate him at this stage in order to intervene much more easily, to prevent him from suffering during the process, and to conduct the treatment in a completely controlled manner. Of course, we are facing a very risky, very critical situation. That is all I can say for now. Hopefully, with his strong will, he will overcome this as well and we will receive good news from him."
