Turkish flags lowered to half-mast for Ismail Haniye

A national day of mourning has been declared in Turkey following the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniye. Due to the national mourning, Turkish flags have been lowered to half-mast.

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced in a statement that a one-day national mourning period has been declared due to the martyrdom of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniye.

Due to the declared national mourning, Turkish flags have been lowered to half-mast.

The giant Turkish flag on Çamlıca Hill, located on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, has also been lowered to half-mast due to the national mourning.
