Turkish military's deployment in Azerbaijan extended

Speaking on the motion on behalf of the Saadet Party Group, Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez condemned Israel's attacks in Gaza.

Stating that they would support every action that aids Palestine, Bitmez argued that the government is not making an effort to do what is right.

Bitmez, who called on the government to sever diplomatic relations with Israel, alleged that oil, as well as fruits and vegetables, are being shipped from Turkish ports to Israel.

İYİ Party Istanbul Deputy Mehmet Satuk Buğra Kavuncu said, "As the İYİ Party, we will of course say 'yes' to the motion to extend the TSK's deployment in Azerbaijan for one year. Although the deployment period in this motion is stated as one year, our historical responsibility in Azerbaijan will exist forever as long as the Turkish nation lives."

Expressing that they will always stand by Azerbaijan, Kavuncu emphasized that the unity of Azerbaijan and Turkey is vital and transcends any political debate.

Reminding that Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Ersin Tatar is currently holding talks in Azerbaijan, Kavuncu stated that Azerbaijan will play a vital role in strengthening the TRNC's position in the Turkic world.

"The Karabakh victory has been the beginning of a new hope in oppressed geographies"

MHP Kayseri Deputy İsmail Özdemir said that Azerbaijan, with the support provided by Turkey, has thwarted plots and that the occupation of Azerbaijani lands has come to an end.

Özdemir stated, "The Karabakh victory has been the beginning of a new hope in oppressed geographies and has produced results in favor of Turkism. It has reinforced the trust of those suffering from oppression in different parts of the world in the Turk."

Reminding that Armenia has not kept its promises and has occasionally violated the ceasefire, Özdemir noted that the Azerbaijani army launched an anti-terror operation on September 19, 2023, and a new victory was achieved.

MHP's Özdemir emphasized that the struggle regarding Karabakh has reached its goal and that the presence of the Turkish soldier is an important guarantee.

Expressing that the will of the Turk means a guarantee of peace, Özdemir underlined that they are against activities that escalate tension in all geographies.

"Turkey is ready to provide every kind of contribution"

CHP Eskişehir Deputy Utku Çakırözer stated that there is an unparalleled bond of brotherhood between Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Expressing that Azerbaijan has liberated its lands under Armenia's unlawful occupation, Çakırözer celebrated Azerbaijan's victory.

Underlining that the priority in the region should be lasting peace, Çakırözer said that peace must be desired by both Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Announcing that they would vote in favor of the motion, Çakırözer said, "Turkey and the Turkish nation, which have provided the strongest support to date to our dear Azerbaijan, which we see with the motto of 'one nation, two states,' and to our Azerbaijani brothers, are ready to provide every kind of contribution and support for the defense of all rights from now on as well."

"Turkey and Azerbaijan are one heart"

Chairman of the TBMM Justice Commission and AK Party Istanbul Deputy Cüneyt Yüksel stated that a large number of civilians have lost their lives in Israel's attacks in Gaza.

Emphasizing that those living in Gaza are being condemned to death due to hunger and thirst in addition to the attacks, that genocide is being committed, and that hospitals are being deliberately targeted, Yüksel stated that the world must take action.

Expressing that Turkey has never remained indifferent to what is happening in Azerbaijan, Yüksel said, "Turkey and Azerbaijan are one nation, two states; they are one heart. Turkey is wherever Azerbaijan is. Azerbaijan's interests are also Turkey's interests."

Pointing out that the presence of the Turkish soldier in Karabakh is a guarantee of well-being, Yüksel stated that Armenia must abandon its ambitions on Azerbaijani lands forever. Cüneyt Yüksel noted the following:

"Just as the second century of our Republic will be the Century of Turkey, it will also be the century of Turkic states and the Turkic world. Both Azerbaijan and the TRNC will continue their existence by becoming even stronger in the Century of Turkey. The presence of Turkish soldiers in the region, as in every place where they serve, has been a guarantee of peace in Karabakh for the last three years. The value Azerbaijan places on the Turkish soldier and the care it shows also confirm this."

Following the deliberations, the presidential motion to extend the TSK's deployment in Azerbaijan for one year starting from November 17 was approved.
