It has been reported that Turkish-owned commercial ships were hit during a Russian airstrike on Ukraine's Odesa port region.
According to information obtained by HaberDenizde.com, the Gaia, a container ship in the Medkon fleet, was struck in the attack. While the fire that broke out on the ship was extinguished after a long intervention by crews, it was announced that the crew members are in good health.
SHIP BOUND FOR TURKEY TARGETED BY UAV ATTACK
The Atlas Bey, a ship belonging to the Istanbul-based Okean Maritime fleet that was preparing to sail from Ukraine's Chornomorsk Port to Turkey, was also targeted by unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to information that has not yet been officially confirmed, one sailor lost their life in the attack.
STATEMENT FROM THE AZERBAIJANI MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 11 Azerbaijani crew members were serving on the Atlas Bey, which was attacked.
The statement noted that 10 sailors disembarked in Odesa, while the ship's captain is missing.
