In a statement made from TurkStat's social media account, it was stated, "It is observed that the points included in the presentation made by our Institution President Dr. Erhan Çetinkaya to the Ankara representatives of media organizations on July 8, 2024, and the issues discussed at the meeting have been manipulated.
Our President, in response to a question, used the expression 'both 45 percent and 75 percent are extremely high inflation rates,' and these remarks were taken out of context and intentionally reported to the media in a different way," it said.
