Nefes newspaper columnist Nuray Babacan brought the assessments being discussed in political circles regarding the leadership debates within the CHP to her column. Drawing attention to the political repercussions of the tension between Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Özgür Özel, Babacan stated that two different scenarios have come to the fore in Ankara's political circles. In her article, she reported that comments are being made that in both possibilities, Kılıçdaroğlu and his team would suffer damage.
Babacan stated that the developments in Ankara during the holiday and the reactions of voters on the street provided important signals regarding the future of politics. Including the assessments of figures who have previously engaged in politics within the ruling party, the author said that these circles are focusing on two different possibilities.
FIRST SCENARIO: THE CHP OPERATION WAS BROUGHT FORWARD
In her article titled "Deep analyses and 2 scenarios," Babacan conveyed the first scenario being voiced in political circles, using the following expressions:
"1-Someone took action against the dominant order and disrupted their plans. By bringing the CHP operation forward, an opportunity was given for Özgür Özel and his team to write a new story before a possible early election. Everything that happened in Ankara during the holiday served this purpose. Including the breaking of the CHP's doors and windows.
If the election is to be held in a year, these events can be read as a move by those who are against the current system. Whether the Özgür Özel-Mansur Yavaş duo forms a new party or not, they could create a major impact by fielding a candidate with 100 thousand signatures."
SECOND SCENARIO: SNAP ELECTION PREPARATION
In the second scenario conveyed by Babacan, assessments were included suggesting that the government is acting within the framework of a possible snap election plan.
"2-According to the second option, the government accelerated the CHP operation because it is preparing for a snap election. If a snap election is to be held in November, as occasionally voiced by palace advisors, the Özgür Özel team will not be given the opportunity to recover.
During this period, the presidential government system will be revised to emerge more advantageously with a new constitution. The crutches of this plan will be the DEM and Kılıçdaroğlu's CHP."
