As part of a corruption investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the IMM regarding charges of 'being a leader of a criminal organization', 'being a member of a criminal organization', 'extortion', 'bribery', 'qualified fraud', 'unlawful acquisition of personal data', and 'rigging of tenders', a detention order was issued for 2 drivers of Muhittin Böcek, who is being tried while in custody in the case concerning the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.

Teams from the Istanbul Financial Crimes Investigation Bureau detained the 2 suspects in Antalya.

The suspects were brought to the police station for processing.

The suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after police procedures, were arrested by the court on charges of 'bribery' and sent to prison.

In the referral for arrest, the prosecutor's office had alleged that the two individuals "were not just performing driving duties".

Noting that the two individuals were the people closest to Böcek and that they acted upon instructions, the prosecutor's office had stated that both individuals frequently turned off their phones "in order to conceal their communications".
