During address audits conducted by the Interior Ministry's Presidency of Migration Management, it was discovered that two foreigners were registered at the minister's residence. It was determined that these two individuals were military school students.
Following the report by T24 columnist Tolga Şardan published regarding the news that residence permits for two foreigners were registered at Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya's home address, a statement was issued by the Interior Ministry's Presidency of Migration Management.
The statement indicated that the incident was detected on May 9 and that a civil inspector was assigned to the case on May 10. The statement said, "In line with the initial findings of the civil inspector, a criminal complaint has been filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against 2 Azerbaijani military students named N.N. and A.H., as well as 2 civilians."
