Two released in football players' fraud fund case

Seçil Erzan, a former private bank manager, was arrested on allegations of defrauding 18 people, including figures such as Emre Belözoğlu, Fernando Muslera, and Selçuk İnan, of 55 million dollars. Two people have been released in the case related to the incident.

Famous figures who claimed to have been defrauded by Erzan had also gone to the courthouse one by one to give statements to the prosecutor. The first hearing of the case took place today.

While 6 defendants, 4 of whom are in custody, and the lawyers of the parties attended the hearing at the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court, 1 defendant who is not in custody connected via the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). 11 complainants, including Emre Çolak and Volkan Bahçekapılı, were also present at the hearing.

In the hearing, which concluded during the night hours, a release decision was issued for two defendants.

Two defendants were released in the case regarding the allegation that many people, including names such as Arda Turan, Fernando Muslera, and Emre Belözoğlu, were defrauded of approximately 25 million dollars with the promise of a high-yield, private, and reliable fund. 

It was ruled that the detention of bank branch manager Seçil Erzan shall continue.
