Two terrorists, one in the gray category, captured

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that PKK/KCK member Bülent Taşer, who was in the gray category of the wanted terrorists list, and Leyla Hüşeng were captured during the "Gürz-45" operation conducted by security forces in the Meriç district of Edirne.

Minister Yerlikaya shared the details of the operation on his social media account, providing the following information:

"It was determined that Bülent Taşer, who was in the gray category, operated in the rural areas of Bitlis-Sehi, Batman-Sason, and Kozluk in 2008; was one of the perpetrators of the remote-controlled IED attack that occurred in the area of Çalıdüzü village in central Bitlis on May 13, 2012; participated in a road blockade, vehicle arson, and kidnapping incident in the area of Yukarıdölek village in central Bitlis on May 18, 2012; and carried out a rocket attack on the Rahva Traffic Inspection Bureau between Bitlis and Tatvan on June 23, 2012."

The capture of the long-wanted terrorists adds another success to the security forces' operations against the organization. The Ministry of Interior emphasized that operations will continue with determination in the fight against terrorism.
