"I COULDN'T APPROACH IT BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID"
İsmail Bayhan, who first spotted the UAV, stated that the aircraft crashed on Wednesday and described his experience with the following words:
"It has been 3 days; I saw it on Wednesday. I heard a sound while I was coming down from the field. I realized it was going to crash. It hit right there and fell. I couldn't approach it because I was afraid. It was making a buzzing sound. I didn't tell anyone, thinking maybe the owner would come and take it. I couldn't approach it out of fear that it might be something bad or a bomb. I didn't tell anyone because I was scared. When no one came to get it, I told the neighborhood headman today. The headman came and looked, and he notified the teams."
HEADMAN: "INVESTIGATIONS ARE ONGOING"
Çubuklubala Neighborhood Headman Muharrem Kaymaz also made the following statement regarding the incident:
"Our uncle İsmail saw an object flying while he was going to his garden around 11:00 on Wednesday, and after waiting a while, he saw it crash. Of course, he couldn't approach it out of fear. He didn't report it, thinking maybe the owner would take it, because he was scared. He informed us of the situation today and explained what happened. We notified the authorities. Investigations are currently being conducted here, and the necessary work is being carried out; we do not know the details yet."
