Ugly social media attack on Murat Ağırel's wife: Criminal complaint filed

Journalist Murat Ağırel reacted to posts on social media targeting his wife. Ağırel alleged that the person making the posts is Niyazi Canbaz, who uses the pseudonym "Abese İrca".

In a statement on his social media account, Ağırel stated that there had been previous posts with heavy content targeting his family, and that this time his wife was targeted.

Ağırel argued that the attacks began systematically after he reported on the file regarding Melik Gökçek and his family. Stating that he has faced insults, profanity, and slander throughout the process, Ağırel said he has recorded all the posts.

Ağırel stated that in addition to the posts in question, he would also submit the documents he has regarding the person who made the posts to the relevant authorities. The journalist announced that he would file a criminal complaint due to the statements targeting his wife.
