Following the UK's agreement to send illegal refugees to Rwanda in exchange for payment, the recent signing of a Tourism Agreement between the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Rwanda, and the increase in flights from Rwanda to Turkey, have caused concern among many, including politicians from the İYİ Party and the Zafer Party, on social media.

"SUCH A DISGRACE IS UNACCEPTABLE"

As X social media users discussed the situation, observing that there were 66 flights between Rwanda and Istanbul on June 1, Zafer Party Chairman Özdağ made the following post:

Rwanda is a country the size of Sivas. Its population is 13 million. The per capita income is 800 dollars. It is an extraordinarily poor country. The UK is sending refugees to Rwanda by making an agreement with Rwanda. The AK Party immediately makes a tourism agreement with Rwanda. And are those who go from the UK to Rwanda being brought from Rwanda to Turkey? Such a disgrace is unacceptable. Turkey is not the world's amusement park. My request to our friends from the Zafer Party Istanbul provincial presidency is to go to the airport, identify who the passengers arriving from Rwanda are with video and photos, and share them with the Turkish public.
