Ümit Özdağ's 'The commission's goal is to legitimize Öcalan' outburst: Its real name is the Öcalan commission

Özdağ stated that the goal of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission established in Parliament is to grant political legitimacy to Öcalan.
Ümit Özdağ said, "The job of the Öcalan Commission is to promote Öcalan from the position of a prisoner who is the leader of a terrorist organization to political leadership, to legitimize him, and to psychologically prepare the public for these changes by discussing the changes Öcalan wants in the Constitution and laws."
"THE REAL NAME OF THE COMMISSION IS THE ÖCALAN COMMISSION"
In his statement regarding the commission, the Zafer Party Chairman used the following expressions:
"Yesterday, the Öcalan commission held its first meeting in the TBMM. The commission gave itself a name, but we know, and the entire Turkish nation knows, that the real name of this commission is the Öcalan Commission. It is said that the commission's duty is not to draft a constitution but to monitor the PKK's disarmament process. Don't make me laugh. Can the job of a TBMM commission be to monitor the disarmament of a terrorist organization? The MIT and the TSK do that."
"WE WILL ALL SEE TOGETHER IF THE TBMM WILL GO TO ÖCALAN"
Claiming that the commission's duty is to prepare Öcalan for political leadership, Özdağ stated that they would closely follow the decisions taken and explain them to the public, saying:
"The job of the Öcalan Commission is to promote Öcalan from the position of a prisoner who is the leader of a terrorist organization to political leadership, to legitimize him, and to psychologically prepare the public for these changes by discussing the changes Öcalan wants in the Constitution and laws.
Öcalan himself is so aware that the commission is the Öcalan commission that he can become reckless enough to summon the commission to his feet in İmralı.
He threatens that if they don't come, war will break out. Of course, one should look not at the reckless Öcalan, but at those who make him reckless. We will all see together if the TBMM will go to Öcalan.
The Zafer Party will closely monitor all activities of the Öcalan Commission and will analyze every step taken and every decision made, and will explain the facts to the Turkish people in all their nakedness."
