Ünal Aysal's hotel up for foreclosure! Bosphorus-view coal shed valued at 25 million TL

The luxury Les Ottomans Hotel in Kuruçeşme, owned by Ünal Aysal, has been put up for sale via foreclosure due to a 140 million dollar mortgage debt. In the expert report, a value of 25 million TL was assigned to the coal shed located next to the hotel. The auction will be held on June 30.

The Les Ottomans Hotel in Kuruçeşme, owned by former Galatasaray president Ünal Aysal, was put up for sale via foreclosure in recent weeks due to debt. 

According to a report by Ercan Öztürk from Patronlar Kulisi; in the expert report prepared regarding the value of the hotel, which is in serious need of renovation, a valuation was also made for a separate parcel located next to the hotel that is used as a coal shed. 

25 MILLION LIRA VALUATION FOR BOSPHORUS-VIEW COAL SHED

An inspection was carried out on November 1, 2023, at the hotel, which is being sold via foreclosure due to Ünal Aysal's debt. According to the prepared report, no buyer has yet been found for the hotel, which requires significant renovation.

An interesting detail caught attention in the expert report. A separate price was determined for the location that serves as a coal storage area, which also has a 140 million dollar mortgage held by Akbank.

The report stated, "It has been concluded that the property located in Istanbul Province, Beşiktaş district, Kuruçeşme neighborhood, block 169, parcel 15, qualified as a COAL STORAGE, has a total purchase/sale value of 25,000,000.00 TL."

HOTEL AUCTION TO BE HELD ON JUNE 30

The experts determined an appraisal value of 1 billion 352 million TL for the hotel, which is built on an area of 3 thousand 236 square meters.

The starting price for the public auction, which will take place on June 30, 2025, is 698 million 15 thousand TL.
