Ünal Çeviköz reacts to Özgür Özel's 'Palestine' post: I wish no comment had been made at all!

CHP Istanbul Deputy Ünal Çeviköz has reacted to the post made by CHP Group Chairman and Presidential Candidate Özgür Özel regarding the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

CHP Group Chairman and Presidential Candidate Özgür Özel made a post on his X account regarding the conflict that broke out between Israel and Palestine.

In his post, condemning Israel, Özel stated, “I condemn Israel's attacks on Gaza, which have caused the loss of 198 Palestinian lives. It is our country's duty to lead the international community to bring peace to Palestine and the Middle East, to end the escalating tension, and to ensure no more lives are lost.”

Özel's statement drew a reaction from CHP Istanbul Deputy and Chief Advisor to the Chairman for Foreign Affairs Ünal Çeviköz. Quoting Özel's post, Çeviköz said, “What a pity! I wish no comment had been made at all! For the sake of right-wing populism, social democracy has been thrown into the trash, and so has humanitarianism…”
