University students rise up: Istanbul, Galatasaray, ITU, Eskişehir...
Students from various universities, led by Istanbul University and Galatasaray University, are protesting the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Following the dawn operation yesterday that led to the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Istanbul University students, who protested in front of the Beyazıt Campus and marched to the IMM building in Saraçhane, remain active today. Gathering in front of the Tradesmen's Cafeteria at 12:30 PM with placards in hand, the students marched to the main gate while chanting slogans.
BOYCOTT AT GALATASARAY!
Another site of protests was Galatasaray University. Students launched a boycott to protest the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İmamoğlu and the cancellation of the diplomas of the university's Business Department Chair, Prof. Dr. Aylin Ataay Saybaşılı.
The students marched from the campus in Ortaköy toward Beşiktaş Square.
PROTEST BY YILDIZ TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Yıldız Technical University (YTU) students also gathered in front of the Davutpaşa Central Cafeteria and protested the detention of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu with a march.

Another location for protests on campuses was Istanbul Technical University (ITU). ITU students expressed their reaction to İmamoğlu's detention with placards and banners in their hands.
STUDENTS BREAK THROUGH BARRICADE IN ESKİŞEHİR
Protests also took place in Eskişehir. Security personnel attempted to block university students who wanted to march to protest the detention of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. After a brief period of tension and the intervention of lawyers, the barricade was opened, and the students carried out a march to Anadolu University.
