Unnoticed, colorless, and odorless: The new drug threatening young people

Radiology specialist Prof. Dr. Güner Sönmez issued a critical warning in a post on his social media account. Warning his followers about a drug circulating in the market that is difficult to detect, Prof. Dr. Güner Sönmez asked everyone to share this information on their own accounts.

Sönmez began his post by saying, "I am going to issue a very important warning," and shared information he heard from a reliable source as follows:

"I am going to issue a very important warning; I heard this from a reliable source with concrete examples. A drug is being dropped into drinks at bars and some entertainment venues. 10-15 minutes later, your reflexes slow down and you lose consciousness. You find yourself in a disgusting hotel, and of course, in a disgusting situation.

The substance added to the drink is undetectable; it is colorless and odorless... It can be added to drinks, coffee, or even water. The substance being added is likely a chemical called GHB, which has a sedative and numbing effect and is undetectable in drinks... there are degenerates who have lost their humanity.

What is worse is that this substance disappears from the body very quickly. If you do not go to the hospital in time, it may not show up in tests. It can only be detected in blood and urine tests within the first 6-12 hours. You do not remember the time in between or the events that occurred. You only remember going to the bar or cafe.

This incident is not something to be underestimated. A decent hotel would not let in an unconscious or incapacitated girl without questioning. It is an organized operation... After the examples I heard today, I was ashamed of my humanity; my hands and feet are still shaking.

Even more painfully, some of the girls cannot report it to the police because they are ashamed or afraid. Please warn those around you and your loved ones. Never leave your drink unattended, do not accept drinks from people you do not know, and do not even go to places you are not very familiar with.

If you experience a suspicious situation such as drowsiness or dizziness even after drinking water or coffee following an alcoholic drink at a venue, immediately message an acquaintance and share your location.

If you do not feel safe, leave the venue, ask for help from those around you, and go to a healthcare facility as soon as possible.

Please share this issue with those around you and share it on your social media accounts so everyone hears about it."
