The 'urban consensus' investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has been completed. A lawsuit has been filed against 10 detained suspects, including deputy mayors of Ataşehir and Kartal, for the crime of 'membership in an armed terrorist organization'.
In the prepared indictment, a prison sentence of up to 15 years was requested for the 10 suspects.
It was stated that HTS records for Kartal Deputy Mayor Cemalettin Yüksel showed he was in communication with 313 people who have criminal records, and it was determined that 6 of the individuals Yüksel spoke with were wanted, while 8 were in prison.
It was revealed that Ataşehir Deputy Mayor Livan Gür was in communication with 52 people with criminal records, and that two of them were wanted for the crime of "membership in a terrorist organization".
