Famous actor Uraz Kaygılaroğlu has shared the behind-the-scenes story of an unexpected phone call he received from MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli for the first time. The interesting moments during the conversation drew attention on social media.

Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, who is on screen with the character Bozo in the series Yeraltı, shared the details of a surprise phone conversation he had with Devlet Bahçeli while appearing on a television program.

The actor stated that Bahçeli called him to thank him for his portrayal of the character Bozo in the series. Kaygılaroğlu noted that Bahçeli expressed his gratitude for the script, which contributes to keeping young people away from harmful habits, and recounted the details of the conversation with a humorous tone.

Stating that Bahçeli told him, "You have become a very fine Gray Wolf (Bozkurt)," the actor said, "Devlet Bey said, 'You have become a very fine Gray Wolf.' I replied, 'Thank you, sir.'"

Another notable moment during the phone call was the issue of who would hang up first. Kaygılaroğlu explained that when the conversation ended, he thought for a while about who should hang up, and since neither side ended the call, a few seconds of silence ensued, which he said took him back to his childhood memories. He recounted the interesting event with these words: "The issue of who should hang up the phone was always on my mind. You know, there is a matter of etiquette. I went back to my childhood. Devlet Bey didn't hang up, and I didn't hang up either. There was a deep silence for a few seconds. The topic was finished. After the silence, I hung up the phone..."

 

The actor also revealed that Bahçeli wanted to send him a special painting featuring a Gray Wolf figure, and said that he has hung this painting on the wall of his home.

In later episodes of the series, the line spoken by the character Bozo, "I had almost lost all hope. I saw it, I saw there is a state. Whether secret or deep, there is a deep state," was interpreted by the public as a gesture made toward Bahçeli.
