It has been reported that the 3-year tenure of US Ambassador to Ankara Jeff Flake in Turkey will end on September 1. According to information received from the US Embassy spokesperson, Flake's 3-year mission in Turkey will conclude on September 1.
The spokesperson noted that Flake stated he was 'honored' to serve as the US Ambassador to Ankara and that he felt fortunate to have worked on strengthening the US-Turkey strategic partnership during a historic period.
Ambassador Flake also shared a post on his X social media account, saying, "It has been an honor to serve." Flake also added the comment, "I will REALLY miss some things," to a photo of himself taken while running on the roof of the Grand Bazaar in 2022.
