US Embassy announces social media decision for visa processes
The United States (US) Embassy in Ankara has announced that individuals applying for visas must set their social media accounts to public.

The US Embassy in Ankara has announced a new regulation to be implemented in visa application processes through a statement on its social media account.
In the post shared by the Embassy, it was stated, "Effective December 15, 2025, in accordance with US law, all applicants for F, M, and J non-immigrant visa categories, as well as H-1B or H-4 visas, are required to change the privacy settings on all their social media accounts to public to facilitate the screening process that enables the determination of identity and eligibility for entry into the United States."
