In a statement issued by the US European Command, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, it was stated that a US military aircraft conducting training operations in the Eastern Mediterranean crashed on Friday evening.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE CRASH
The statement noted that information regarding the military personnel affected by the crash would not be released out of respect for their families, and that while the incident is under investigation, it does not appear to have been caused by hostile action.
Following the start of Israel's intense attacks on Gaza, the US military carried out significant deployments to the Mediterranean, including two aircraft carriers, and began conducting exercises in the region while transporting ammunition to Israel via an established air bridge.
