Üsküdar Municipality denies 'trash' reports

Üsküdar Municipality stated that an attempt was made to create a perception operation using a photo shared on social media that does not belong to Üsküdar.

In a written statement made by the municipality, the following expressions were used: "In some posts made on social media platforms today, it was claimed that our municipality did not clean the trash formed on the street after a neighborhood market was set up yesterday, and that the street is still 'dirty' even at these hours. In the investigation carried out by our municipality's teams, it was determined that the street 'does not belong to Üsküdar', that it is an image shared from another district, and that no market was set up in such a street or location."

The following was noted in the statement made by the municipality:

"Furthermore, it was also claimed that the image belonged to yesterday. Yesterday, markets were set up in our Çengelköy and Selam Ali neighborhoods in Üsküdar. These areas were cleaned by municipal teams after the market was dismantled.

It should be known that; Üsküdar Municipality carries out meticulous work, being responsible for the health and cleanliness of all Üsküdar residents. The Üsküdar Municipality Cleaning Affairs Directorate teams continue their cleaning efforts with 123 vehicles and 741 personnel. The teams continue their work in all neighborhoods in 5 shifts per day. In addition, spraying work is also carried out in 33 neighborhoods with 6 vehicles per day.

We would like to state that we are aware of the perception that is intended to be created. However, our municipality is in the field with all its teams and is carefully continuing its work. We present this to the information of the press and the public."

We searched and scanned, we could not find such a marketplace in Üsküdar.

We are aware that an organized perception campaign has been attempted by troll accounts for a while.
