UTTS system crashed two days before implementation: Deadline extended
The Revenue Administration (GİB) has announced that the deadlines for the National Vehicle Recognition System (UTTS) have been extended to June 2 for fuel stations and June 30 for vehicle owners to allow for the completion of necessary procedures.

According to the statement from the Administration, it was recalled that the UTTS application was developed to ensure that license plate information is sent automatically to new-generation fuel pump cash registers without manual entry during fuel sales at gas stations, and that the relevant regulations were established by the General Communiqué published in the Official Gazette dated October 5, 2023.
Accordingly, taxpayers were required to start using the system as of May 1 for vehicles acquired through leasing or included in the business and used for work.
In this context, provided that the necessary application and registration procedures were completed via the "utts.gov.tr" website by January 31, it was made mandatory to install the Vehicle Recognition Unit (TTB) on the vehicles, the Vehicle Recognition Reader (TTO) on the pump nozzles at gas stations, and the Nozzle Communication Module (TİM), which enables communication between the TTB, TTO, and new-generation cash registers, by April 30.
According to the statement, significant progress has been made regarding the work on TTO and TİM at gas stations as well as the installation of TTB on vehicles, and a large portion of the required procedures has been completed.
However, considering that the application is new and there are still taxpayers, albeit a small number, who have not been able to complete their procedures, additional time has been granted for taxpayers to finalize their incomplete transactions.
Accordingly, the deadline for application and registration procedures for TTO, TTB, and other equipment, which were required to be completed via the "utts.gov.tr" website by January 31, has been extended to June 2.
Furthermore, the April 30 deadline set for installation and usage procedures regarding TTO, TİM, and TTB has been extended to June 2 for taxpayers operating gas stations (installation and usage) and to June 30 for vehicle owners (installation and usage).

In this context, taxpayers operating gas stations are required to complete the necessary registration and application procedures by June 2, have the TTO and TİM installed at their stations, and begin actual fuel sales via UTTS by ensuring these devices communicate with the new-generation cash registers. Taxpayers, on the other hand, are required to complete the necessary registration and application procedures by June 2 for vehicles acquired through leasing or included in their businesses and used for work, and to have the TTB installed on their vehicles and begin using them by June 30 at the latest."
