Vahap Seçer, who called for a party convention, stands side-by-side with Kılıçdaroğlu: 'We are proud to be CHP members'

The 2nd Nomad Event of the Brother Nomads was held in the Tırtar neighborhood by the Toroslar Municipality in Mersin. The program was attended by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP Chairmanship following a decision of absolute nullity, as well as CHP Mersin Deputy Gülcan Kış, Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and Mersin Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer, Toroslar Mayor Abdurrahman Yıldız, district mayors, political party representatives, village headmen (muhtars), and numerous citizens.

In the group photo taken at the event, Vahap Seçer was seen standing next to Kılıçdaroğlu.

"I PROMISE I WILL USE THAT STAFF WHEN THE TIME COMES"

At the event, which began with a symbolic Nomad migration march, a Nomad staff was gifted to Kılıçdaroğlu.

Thanking those who presented the gift, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "I thank you from the bottom of my heart for these beautiful gifts. I promise I will use that staff when the time comes."

"GIVE US THE POWER, AND YOU WILL SEE HOW SERVICE IS DONE"

Continuing his speech, Kılıçdaroğlu called for votes for the CHP.

"We are asking for votes for the Republican People's Party. Give us the power, and you will see how service is done. We will protect the values of animal husbandry; we will do all of this, my dear friends, my dear colleagues. For this reason, our understanding of politics is not just knocking on people's doors from election to election, but touching the lives of our people and solving their problems. A policy that does not solve problems becomes a problem itself," he said.

VAHAP SEÇER'S EMPHASIS ON 'CHP'

Seçer, who had repeatedly called for a party convention during the days of the absolute nullity crisis within the CHP, also gave a speech at the event.

Expressing that he is proud to be a CHP member, Seçer said:

"We are on the path of Mustafa Kemal and we are proud to be members of the Republican People's Party. We have said this wholeheartedly and without hesitation. We grew up under this deep-rooted roof established by Atatürk, with the values of the Republican People's Party. We are wholeheartedly committed to this deep-rooted institution and its values.

Our party has contributed much to us; we also have years of history and a deep-rooted, strong past within our party. Protecting and looking after our party is our primary duty. We have fought to elevate our party, the Republican People's Party, until today; we will continue the same struggle from now on."

WHAT HAD SEÇER SAID?

In a statement he made on May 27, Vahap Seçer had called for a party convention regarding the absolute nullity management in the CHP.

Seçer had used the following expressions: "The elected Chairman of this party is Özgür Özel. Someone else may run against him at a convention, say better things, become a source of hope for the party's base, and the delegates and party members may say, 'I appreciate this. This person seems like they will do better'... Isn't it Mr. Özgür Özel's own request that the convention be held as soon as possible? This is the request of all of us. Let the convention decide."
